LEGACY PLANNING
Leave A Legacy of Love
An ever-lasting legacy continues spreading love long after one leaves this earth. You can reach out and help tomorrow’s families find love, hope, and respite with a bequest in your Will or Estate Plan for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte.
A RMHC of Greater Charlotte representative can help you and your financial advisors develop a planned gift to meet your philanthropic and financial goals. Consider the following options:
Charitable Bequest
Remembering us in your living trust or will allows you to donate any gift of your choosing. Whether you bequest money, belongings, or a percentage of your estate, you can pass your love on to others while bypassing potential estate and income taxes. Here is some sample language to include in your will.
Life Insurance
A life insurance policy you no longer need is a generous and practical gift to children in need. Name the RMHC of Greater Charlotte as beneficiary or owner of your life insurance and eliminate any taxes on the policy.
Retirement or Pension Plans
Most retirement plan assets face double taxation. If you wish to avoid placing this burden on your family, you can name RMHC of Greater Charlotte as your beneficiary. As a non-profit, RMHC of Greater Charlotte does not pay income tax on retirement plan distribution.
Real Estate
Deciding what to do with real estate is a demanding responsibility. A donation of property makes a generous and tax-friendly gift.
Gift to Endowment
A gift of money or property to the RMHC of Greater Charlotte’s Endowment is an easy way to support families in need.
RMHC of Greater Charlotte can help you plan your legacy.
