​Cole vs. Cancer

At five years old, Cole was diagnosed with DRSCT, a rare form of sarcoma. Doctors offered a grim prognosis, but Cole refused to give up hope. Cole kept fighting, kept hoping, and kept right on living. For 10 years Cole defied the odds and kept his spark of hope burning bright.
 
Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte strives to give distraught families a sense of hope, but Cole reversed those roles. As Cole carried on fighting, his spark of hope ignited a fire in the heart of every person he encountered. Now we carry his fire with us, inspired by a brave young man who refused to give up hope.
